For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince  (Isaiah 9:6).

Believers. Glory to God on High for His incredible grace on an undeserving people. The depth of God’s love for us is so overwhelming, that none of us can comprehend. To sacrifice One’s only begotten Son (John 3:16) to pay the sin debt (Rom 4:7) of those of us in this wicked world, is difficult to understand. But God’s word is true (Ps 119:160) and the Bible tells us that. Though all of us “have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Rom 3:23), we as followers of Christ are privileged and blessed to be called His children. What joy we have as Christians not only as we celebrate Christ’s birth on this earth, but daily, and throughout the year. Jesus Christ touched our lives in a way no one can. I pray that we can touch other’s lives by Christ’s example – loving each other with kindness and mercy as we live our lives on this earth.

Let us all focus on “the reason for the season” and rededicate our lives to Christ and show love to those around us. Surely we can find something we like in an individual, that we can stir up a friendship with that person. Jesus was 'friendly to sinners' (i.e. Luke 19:5), but more than that, "He is our Friend". So if that is the case, then how is it that there is so much hate in the world? The answer is that so many do not have Christ in their hearts and lives. We as ‘workers’ for Christ are to be examples by not only preaching the Gospel of Jesus (Mark 16:15), but by loving our neighbor as ourselves (Mark 12:31). Jesus tells us to “love one another” (John 15:12) and this should be paramount in all of our lives as followers. Jesus is the reason for the season and He will help us do that when we get closer to Him.

I pray blessings on all who read or listen to this. May we all enjoy the fellowship of family and friends by glorifying God this season.  Our prayer is for God to make us friendly to the lost and remind all of us, “the reason for the season”.   Let's tell all about the glorious Gospel of Christ (Mark 16:15) and the 'reason for the season'.  Let us also make this Christmas season a time that we can touch someone outside the family, for Christ.

My Dear Brothers and Sisters:  Blessings, Peace and Joy this Christmas and beyond.

May God give you the desires of your hearts.
