A Holy War

“O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation,

thou hast covered my head in the day of battle” (Ps 140:7).

Just as the soldier marched or rode into battle during King David's time in the Bible, I feel as warriors of Christ, we are marching into even more battles today. There is a raging war for souls going on in this world presently and I am saddened by so many not being prepared for the fight.  I don't know about you, but I feel that millions are being led as sheep to the slaughter.  Leaving this world without Christ.  We have a Holy War going on all around us. In every neighborhood, and every city. That old serpent, the devil - satan (Rev 12:9), is working hard destroying lives not only around the world, but right here in the United States.  He is using all avenues of attack especially against Christians (Followers of Christ). His hatred for Christ & believers is beyond comprehension.  In countries like Nigeria there have been 1400 Christians murdered in the first four months of 2021*.   That's just one out of many, many countries where this is going on.  And I feel we in America need to understand the cost of being called Christians.

The devil has his forces scouring the earth like a roaring lion “seeking whom he may devour” (1 Pet 5:8). Billions of souls are in danger. Soul Winners are being silenced by the thousands each day by our government leaders, educational systems, by Hollywood and the national and local media, and even by some members of our earthly families. The devil is a powerful figure on this earth but we know of his outcome (Rev 20:10). Until that time, he will claim a lot of souls. Our job is to win souls for Christ. “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise(Pro 11:30)Jesus told us to "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature"  (Mark 16:15).

And as Warriors of Christ, WE CAN & WILL.

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God” (Eph 6:13a).  God has already "covered our heads".  I pray we are all prepared (or in some cases ‘get prepared’) as the battle rages on all around us. We are already victorious as Followers (1 Cor 15:57). We’ve already put on the “helmet of salvation” (Eph 6:17) and God has “covered our heads” with His strength. There is no need for us to fear any man or situation during these times. “So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me” (Heb 13:6). God is our strength.  As warriors for Christ, we must serve Him unashamedly. “Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels” (Mark 8:38). If you are NOT out in the battle, do so now, Warrior. This is not a time when we should be ‘sitting on the sidelines’.

Let us all just tell ‘em about Jesus while there is still time.

And tell ‘em often.

"Thank You Lord God" for making us warriors for Christ.
