“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God” (Gal 5:19-21).

I heard it said, "A person can sin away the day of grace for his life".  Personally, I believe that person was right on the mark. Or as some Brits say, "spot on".  Many in this world want to believe that our God is simply “kidding or joking around with us” as they continue to live in their world of sin ‘sinning away the day of grace'.  Those who refuse to come out of this world ( 2 Cor 6:17) and reject Jesus are living on ‘borrowed time’ so to speak.  We were created by God to glorify Him in all that we do (1 Cor 6:20). We were not created to glorify ourselves.  Those of us as followers of Christ, must tell those who do not know God about His grace before it’s too late. "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:" (2 Thess 1:8)  Not a joking matter.

The Bible was written for us for many reasons but one of the main reasons was so that we may know Jesus Christ in a more personal way. God gave us the Bible so that we may know His will and to teach us about living a 'holy and God-centered' life. God’s word is “powerful”. “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Heb 4:12).  A wonderful verse regarding God’s word is as follows. “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name” (John 20:31).

The moment those of us who received Jesus, we started on a life long journey that will end on earth, but will continue in heaven with Jesus. For some of us it started with these verses. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Rom 10:9-10). And some it started with “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).  Or perhaps another verse, like (Matt 11:28).

God showed His love for us through His amazing grace, by sending His only begotten Son to pay the penalty for our sin. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Eph 2:8-9). It is an incomparable Gift through faith and there is no way to earn it.  There is coming a time where every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess. “For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God” (Rom 14:11).

Repent of your ways and receive Jesus today (John 1:12) while there is still time. We all have an appointment (Heb 9:27). Please don’t get caught ‘sinning away the day of grace for your life’.

For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee:  behold, now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation.
(2 Cor 6:2)

God loves you and is knocking at the door (Rev 3:20).

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door,

I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me"

And for those of us who are followers, let’s keep "telling 'em about Jesus".
