“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”    (Mark 16:15)

“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building” (1 Cor 3:6-9).

A man named John Chapman who was born in Massachusetts in 1774, was later called Johnny Appleseed. His desire was to plant apple trees from apple seeds so that no one would ever go hungry. He planted seeds wherever he traveled for fifty years. Like Mr. Chapman, perhaps this should be our desire to plant seeds wherever we go to help win souls for God  (Pro 11:30). The difference would be to plant seeds for Christ. . . to win souls. To make it simple, to plant God’s word. And let us never underestimate the power of planting a seed for God. I am living proof.

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword” (Heb 4:12a). Oh how powerful God’s word is to the 'readers' and ‘hearers’. As workers in and before the Harvest, there is no way we can improve on God’s holy word. Our job? Simplistic. Just plant the seeds. God will let us know if we need to do anything else. There is no need to “micro-manage” God’s work – He does the saving. Not us. We are to “go into all the world and preach the gospel . . . ” (Mark 16:15). Let us all start where we are at. I am grateful for the overseas missionaries however, there is still a very large mission field here at home. We all need to be “seed planters”.  If one is homebound, we can even do it by mail - think about it.

Jesus sent out 70 in pairs ahead of Him in Luke 10.  "Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest" (Lk 10:2). I believe the harvest fields are ripe today but still, the laborers are few. The harvest will be even greater if we plant a lot more seeds.  Remember, we are laborers for God – All for His glory. What a great Employer !

Keep telling ‘em about Jesus.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Philippians 2:5-8“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”

Our Friend Daniel Gibson went home to be with the LORD on March 17, 2018

Without Danny the re-posting of this site would have been delayed for another year at least.  Glory to God for Him placing Dan in my path.
