Ever Changing vs Never Changing

Pictured is a Silver Certificate. Note the words on the bottom: “IN SILVER PAYABLE TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND” – The bill also states that there is one dollar worth of silver in the U.S. Treasury to back or cover this bill but ‘good luck’ on that. Money is printed wildly by politicians and administrations and there is not enough gold or silver of that amount to cover the bills that are printed. Today’s bills have ‘Federal Reserve Note’ printed on them. And no longer do the words “In Silver Payable to the Bearer on Demand” appear. United States Currency has changed dozens of times in the 240 years America has been in existence. And for many different reasons. We all know it will change in the future, and probably in our lifetime. It is ‘ever changing’. So bills such as Silver Certificates and other old currency are simply collectibles now.

There is something that has NEVER changed since the beginning of time, and never will. God’s love for mankind has not changed. It is never changing. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Jesus Christ, who is God in the flesh (John 1:1-3), gave His life to pay for our sins.  IF we receive Him as our Savior (John 1:12). Jesus Christ appears throughout the Old Testament as He does in the New. “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever” (Heb 13:8). He is never changing. However we must put our trust in Him and believe. “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God”

(John 3:18)It’s our choice.

The Bible, which is God’s word for every person, does not change. It is a constant. God’s word is ‘pure’. “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him” (Pro 30:5).  The Bible says to “But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ” (Rom 13:14a) as you would a jacket.  Just ‘saying you love Christ’ and then living for this world is simply ‘lip service’ (allegiance, unsupported by real conviction). The Bible reads “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you” (2 Cor 6:17).   Remember, the Bible (God’s holy word) is “never changing”.    Are you ready to come out of this world?  Are you ready to come out of your old lifestyle and seek the Lord? In all you do, seek Him. “Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near” (Isaiah 55:6).

And rejoice in this:    “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”.

(Rom 10:9-10)

If I don’t see you here again, I hope to see you in heaven.
