“Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.” (John 9:25)

Several years ago, I was taking my wife to lunch in another city and as we were driving, she calmly stated “did you know you just blew through a stop sign?” Cataracts were forming solidly over both of my eyes and although I could see the road, I had a problem reading the signs. It was at that time when I decided to see an eye specialist and as the story goes, the surgeon performed a miraculous ‘fix’ guided by the hand of God. My vision was restored. In the verse above (which is probably one of every believer’s favorite), the blind man had just received his sight instantly, through Jesus Christ the great Physician. All that the unbelieving Jews could tell the man was that Jesus was a sinner.  Their eyes were blinded by jealousy and pride.

Saul of Tarsus, later Paul, was on the way to Damascus when he was blinded by the Lord. He had an awakening but later on, at the home of Judas, Paul saw the light when Ananias (instructed by God) touched Paul, and the cataracts immediately fell from his eyes (Acts 9:15-17) (Acts 9:18)

On a side note:  Ananias who was obedient even though he knew of Saul's evil doings.

"And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord.  And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,"   (Acts 9:10-11)

Saul of Tarsus saw the light. His vision was restored like all of us who have received Christ as our Lord and Savior (John 1:12) (John 9:25).  I believe that the Apostle Paul had the awakening (like many of us) on the road to Damascus but received Christ at the home of Judas, and it was there where he was filled with the Holy Ghost. “And straightway (immediately) he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.” (Acts 9:20)

I have two questions for you:

When you had your Spiritual Cataracts removed, did you

immediately start preaching Christ’s gospel?

 And

When was the last time you told someone about our Jesus?

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

A special thanks to Daniel Gibson of Tennessee Valley Web Design for his involvement in promoting God's holy word and a safe stop on the internet.

Our Friend Daniel Gibson went home to be with the LORD on March 17, 2018

Without Danny the re-posting of this site would have been delayed for another year at least.  Glory to God for Him placing Dan in my path.
