Here are Seven interesting facts (truths) that you may not know. Or if you heard of them, but perhaps didn’t understand them.  Let's read & learn.

1. Jesus Christ is God in the flesh and Creator of all things.

Yes He is. John 1:1-3 tells us “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” Jesus is also called the Word, the Bread of Life, the Lamb, King of kings, Lord of lords, Messiah, Prince of Peace, the Way, the Son of God, Lord of all, Head of the Church, the Alpha & Omega, and many more.

2. The Ark (huge boat) that Noah built at God’s command was over 450 feet long. (Longer than a football field which is 300 feet and it was 75 feet wide.)

Yes it was. Gen 6:14-15 tells us “And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.” ( A cubit is equal to about 18" or a little more than a foot and a half,  so it was at least 450 feet long or 300 cubits)

3. Jesus, who is God in the flesh, made all the stars also – trillions of them. More than we can count.

Yes He did: Genesis 1:16 says “And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day (the sun), and the lesser light to rule the night: (the moon) he made the stars also.   He also made you and me. What a powerful and Mighty Creator!

4. Even though we know God as “Father”, Jesus told the woman at the well (and us too) that He is a Spirit.

Yep: Jesus told the woman at the well (who was the spreader of the Good news into Samaria) that God is a Spirit and how she must worship Him. John 4:24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

Jesus also said to the multitude (Matt 23:9)  "And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

5. We are all sinners not just because of our actions, but because we were born into sin.

Sad but true: Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” And, Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”  Only Jesus is perfect.

6. No person can enter Heaven because of their good works or deeds.

That’s scary but true: God saves us by our faith in Him. It is a gift.  Let’s read Ephesians 2:8-9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”  God sent His only begotten Son (John 3:16) to pay our sin debt. Jesus said in John 3:36 “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”   If we receive, (John 1:12) believe in Jesus & follow Him, we will live forever in Heaven with Him, but if we reject Him, we will go to a bad place called hell. (Rev 21:8)

7. When we receive Jesus into our lives, He will save us from all our sins, instantly.

Wow. That is great news! John 1:12 reads “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons (children) of God, even to them that believe on his name:”

Here are 3 ‘life changing’ scriptures for you.  Memorize them and quote them every day.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Rom 10:9-10)

And “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Rom 10:13)
