Why Not Today?

“now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”    (2 Cor 6:2b)

Before you leave your house, into this troubled world today

Won't you bow down on your knees, to the Lord and pray? (1 Thess 5:17)

The life that Jesus offers, providing safety much abound (2 Tim 4:18)
Nothing here can harm us, while He's still around.

It's a wondrous sunny morning, but will this be the day?   (1 Cor 15:52)
When the Lord comes in the clouds, to take the saints away? (1 Thess 4:15-16)

Will you be among us, as Spirits soar up on high?
Or will you be lamenting, begging, “don’t leave me behind.”

I plead with you O sinner, don’t let pride stand in your way? (Proverbs 16:18)
Call out to the Savior, and do it, now, today. (John 1:12) (Rom 10:13)

Your friends and many loved ones, will fly off, there is no doubt
Do not be left bewildered, when you hear that mighty shout. (1 Thess 4:15-16)

He took our place, upon the cross, He’s paid for all our sins, (John 3:16) (Phil 2:8) (1 Cor 15:3)
Reject not, His precious sacrifice, in your heart, let Jesus in. (John 12:48)

Pain and woes are coming, like you’ve never seen before, (Rev 6:16-17)
It’s not His will, for us to burn, please open up that door. (Rev 3:20)

The world indeed does mock Him, from the meek and to the brave,  (Gal 6:7-8)
Their destined for a burning hell, that’s where they’ll make their grave. (Rev 21:8)

Friend, there’s no time like today, where you sit, confess and pray, (Rom 10:9-10)
He’s eagerly awaiting, decide, why not today?  (2 Cor 6:2b)

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
(Rom 10:13)
