Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Heb 7:25

Many years ago (approx 25) I first heard a song titled “Saved to the Uttermost,” and as simple as it was, it had a great effect on my walk with God. I heard a youth choir singing it on my car radio and I literally had to pull over to the side of the road. I got out of my vehicle on the side of a little country road, raised my hands to the sky, and praised the LORD. “I'm saved to the uttermost, I know that I am, washed in the blood of the precious Lamb, thru the Father -  thru the Son - thru the Holy Ghost, I'm saved to the uttermost !”

While understanding fully that ‘salvation’ is not about a “feeling,” I do know we can all have those mountain top moments, and they’re great when they come along. However, salvation is a “surety” IF we are born again.  And when we are “born again,” we become that new creature spoken about in 2 Cor 5:17.  We are overwhelmed with joy and gladness of heart. We have received Christ as in John 1:12. When we surrender our lives to Christ, we are saved by the Most High GOD. The God who is all knowing, all powerful, and always present. He is the God of Abraham just as He is the God of those who belong to Him today. When Jesus enters into our lives it’s permanent. No man can pluck us out of His hand (John 10:28)!  That is a promise from our LORD Jesus. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. John 10:29. It is a Powerful Salvation. Just as He spoke about His disciples 2000 years ago, He speaks about His disciples today. God is not about to let us go IF we are indeed His. We are a gift to Jesus from the Father in Heaven.  IF we  indeed belong to Him.

Over the years I have heard many preachers / pastors (or so-called) telling their flock that they can “walk away from their salvation” or that they could “lose their salvation.” Oh how can that be when we are “sealed” by the Holy Ghost? 2 Cor 1:22. Doubt has been placed in the minds of multitudes because they lived in fear of losing their salvation.  Dozens of cults and other demonic influences are trying to "de-legitimize" GOD's word.  Jesus Christ is God in the flesh (John 1:1) and NOT the brother of lucifer or a created human being. And He saves to the uttermost.  But Our relationship with Christ is a personal one and only each individual can know for sure of that relationship. None of us can be the Holy Ghost for each other nor would we want to be.  IF you are saved, you are saved to the uttermost!   Another problem many have is that they are fooling themselves. They think they are saved because of some “words” they have spoken or act they have done usually instituted or promoted by man. The Bible reads “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Rom 10:13). The Bible says it! I believe it!  But many call upon Him with just their mouths and not their hearts.  It is not a case of “losing one’s salvation,” it is a case of being a counterfeit. 2 Cor 13:5 reads to examine yourselves to see if you are in the faith. Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

So IF you are saved, you are saved to the uttermost. And IF you are saved you will have a burning desire to get closer to the Lord. And IF you are saved you will want to praise God with every breath you take and live a life of obedience to God.  You are the only one to know for certain.  Trust Jesus!  We know that there will be a change in your life.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My word, and believeth on Him that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life (Jn 5:24).  Praise GOD!
