Candy-Coating Fornication - What the Bible Says

 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.   

1Cor 6:18 

 

God has given me this message over a year ago and I have been hesitant about putting it up. Since the 'church' is mostly silent about this, I feel the need to warn men and women committing blatent and grievous sins against the Most High GOD and to encourage Christians to let all know the consequences of sin.  I am not placing myself above anyone but simply telling you what the Bible says.  With all of the hype and hoopla, especially in Hollywood, the mainstream media, celebrity circles and even in our universities, open adultery and fornication is now shown as the standard in our society. Most television programming, most movie houses, and even many in the political arena, have removed all of the shame of the sins of fornication and adultery.  All medias now portray men and women as having fun and enjoyment, but fornication ultimately leads to misery and sorrow, whether one wants to admit it or not. Christians (true followers of Christ), have been almost silenced by our own government just for making a comment about a man and woman living together without marriage.  And it is taboo to speak about homosexuality (the Bible calls them sodomites and effeminate **) because individuals in this perverted lifestyle have now fallen under the guise of ‘equal rights' or 'civil rights.’ Sinners are now self-justifiying their sin.  But it all falls under the sin of fornicationSixty years ago, when a man and a woman were living together without marriage, it was called "living in sin".  It was 'Shameful' at that time.  That phrase was changed to pre-marital sex, and then to co-habitating, and presently we are calling sinners,life partners,” or similar clever phrases - anything to Candy Coat Fornication.

 

Presently, there is a politician publicly who states that he is ‘married’ to another man (it can not be!Lev 20:13 says it is an abomination to GOD ).  That sinner also says that God made him that way. Oh what a blasphemous and dangerous path he is walking! Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil (Isa 5:20-21). This individual has not read Romans 1:21-32 (Gen 1:27) or does not believe God’s holy word. He and his ‘partner’ (both sodomites) living in their perverted lifestyle, will pay severely if they do not repent and come out of their perversions. They not only need prayer, but more than that, someone needs to warn them.  They are pandering to other perverted men and women to justify their own sinful lives.  In their hearts, I believe they know that their awful sin is an abomination to the Lord, but choose to challenge GOD.  Woe unto them.  We should also know that 'Sex (fornication) sells.' Multitudes are making money from it and because of it.  Woe unto them also.

What many are doing is Candy-Coating” sin - even from the pulpit. The Bible, which is God’s holy word, warns us about ‘fornication’ over 30 times (in the KJV) and adultery 40 times. God is serious about it. (Deut 23:17) There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel . That means that we as Christians, need to be warning those in sexual sin of the consequences of that sin. Those who are committing those sins, will NOT enter the kingdom of God. As a servant of God, my job is to tell all about the gospel of Christ and also to warn people that God will not allow sin into His heavenly gates.  Many people in adulterous and other sexual relationships are miserable and unsatisfied. They can deny it but they have no peace. Sadly there is a horrific ending.  Consider this:  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death  ( Rev 21:8 ).

 

Here are a couple verses that are indisputable in the New Testament showing us who are not going to enter the kingdom of God.  We as followers of Christ need to show them to people that have sin reigning in their lives.  Know them or even better, memorize them.   Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor 6:9-10) (Eph 5:5).

 

Matthew 5:28 Jesus states, "But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart".  So these acts of fornication can even commited in one's mind or thought life.


There are also those who have repented (or turned) of some sins but have with-held the sin of adultery and fornication and continue to practice it in their lives (“Me & my boyfriend pray every night before we go to bed - how many times have you heard that” ? How many times have YOU said it?). They feel that because they have ‘cleaned up their lives for the most part, it will be okay if they just hold on to one or two sins. One can not do that!  Jesus said, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish (Luke 13:3).  The Bible tells us to ‘abstain’ from fleshly lust. (1Th 4:3) For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:.  This is not a suggestion, it's a command.

 

In a survey I read recently, half, or 53%, of the people living together before marriage, and then finally marrying at some point, will end up in divorce.  I believe that to be true.  I have met many people who have refused to give up the sin of fornication, and frankly, they have been kind to me. I have told many, as gently and Biblically as I can, to come out of that lifestyle. Many even agree, but still continue in the sin of fornication.  Sin has a 'death grip' on them. It is commonplace now in our society. But God’s word stands true. It has never changed; and even though some dismiss the Old Testament, Jesus said He wouldn’t change it ‘one jot or tittle’. Some say that Jesus overlooked sexual sins but read Matt 15:19. He shows us that sin is still sin – God’s word has not changed. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:  Oh yes!  Jesus said it and I believe it.  You must believe also.  Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body (1 Cor 6:18).

 

There are many verses in the Bible warning us about fornication and the candy coating’ of God’s word. We must abide in His word. (1 Cor 7:2b) It is good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband . To men and women in these 'live-in' relationships: "Please come out of this situation before it is too late".  Repent and make it right with GOD (Matt 9:13b)For I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentanceJesus is calling you to repentanceThe Bible tells us to even abstain from the appearance of evil (1 Th 5:22).

 

Now the GOOD News !

 

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10).

 

Rember again what Jesus said, "except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."  Turn from your ways and call upon Him.  Or perish.  Come out of your sin of fornication and turn to Christ.  Stop telling everyone that fornication is 'okay' when GOD calls it a "sin".  If you truly love the Lord, then follow Him.

 

1 Corinthians 6:11 tells us: And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.  AMEN AND THANK YOU JESUS !   That is 'IF' you have received Jesus and are born again!  (John 3:3).  Remember once again, God wants no one to perish (2 Peter 3:9).  Have you truly been born again?  If you are born again, you cannot willingly be committing acts of fornication.  You need to examine yourself (2 Cor 13:5) to see if you really belong to God, or to the prince of this world (satan). 

 

Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, came to earth on a mission to cleanse all of our sins, if we choose. Christ died on the cross to pay our sin debt and rose again the third day (1 Cor 15:3-4) and now sits on the right hand of God until He comes to get His own. He has removed our transgressions from us as far as the east is to the west (Ps 103:12). No longer do we have to be burdened by the heavy load of sin, if we are willing to “receive Him as Lord of our lives (John 1:12-13). Again, your need is to repent (2 Peter 3:9) from all sin in our lives including fornication.

 

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, (2Cor 6:17).  Come out of the world, friend.

 

You must trust God’s word and not ‘our own ways’ (Pro 14:12) to know what is right and what is wrong. There are only two ways; Believe what God says, or Reject His word; and if we reject His word, we are also rejecting Jesus.  It is your choice.  You have possibly heard this message before and now you have heard it again today, so there is no more excuse.  Confess, believe, turn and follow (Rom 10:9-10) ( John 12:26).

 

Call upon Him today (Rom 10:13) and He will save you from your sins and He will help you with the sin of fornication along with all other sins, if you are willing. It is a two (2) way street. If you are not willing to turn from adultery and fornication, He will not hear you (Isa 59:2-3).

 

If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36).


Understand that Real freedom comes from Jesus. Trust Him.

 

And as for God's people?   Stop "Candy Coating" His Word.

Preach the truth.  Read and understand the Bible.
