The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise  (Pro 11:30).

Believer, how often have we heard or read this wonderful scripture?

It is a precious reminder to all of us that one of our duties is winning souls for God. If I may (hopefully not irrevently), we are to be God's salesmen.  Our purpose is to glorify God in all we do but we are also to be “profitable” as the Bible encourages us. Our Lord Jesus told us all to “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). I truly understand that there are times when we cannot get ‘out and around’ in public but ‘soul-winning’ should be continually on our minds and in our prayer requests. We all know that the time of Christ's return is nigh. Recently, I handed a Gospel Tract to an individual who received it willingly. I found out that this individual was a ‘born again’ Christian by his own admission. He told me that “tract distribution” wasn’t “his thing” and he chose to tell folks about Christ “by mouth”. I didn’t have a problem with that but I asked him when was the last time he had spoke to someone about Jesus Christ, and he sheepishly replied, “it’s been a while”. I admire him for his honesty.

While Bible / Gospel tracts are ‘not for everyone’, I can vouch for this verse. “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” (Isa 55:11). People will ‘receive’ God’s word in the tracts or ‘reject’ them.  That is the choice for each individual who receives the tract. God said His word will prosper, either way. So maybe tract distribution should be added to your ‘soul winning arsenal’ along with what you do in your regular ministry. Think about it and pray about it. None of us want to see anyone perish (2 Pet 3:9). As believers, we pray for even our enemies, to turn and come to Christ.

The Apostle Paul said “Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry” (2 Tim 4:11). Paul knew that Mark was “profitable” in this passage and when we honestly examine ourselves, we should be able to discern if we are "profitable".  I am certainly not the one to tell another that he or she is profitable or not profitable, however, I do feel we can do more to spread the glorious Gospel of Christ, even though it may seem trivial in the eyes of some great evangelists. Remember, simply by passing on or posting God’s holy word, we may be able to reach a lost soul. “They’re out there”.

Bible tracts are easy to get hold of and can be ordered through many sources. Read the tract carefully and make sure it is scripturally correct before passing them out. If you are not physically able pass them out, then place one in each outgoing envelope from your home - or box going out into the mail (Or UPS or FedEx). Hand one out to that McDonald’s window clerk taking your order. If you’re afraid that it will offend someone, wrap it in a dollar bill. No one refuses a tip. There are many ways to pass tracts or place tracts in convenient places. I’ll bet you can think of ways that I haven’t even thought of yet. Remember, God’s word will not return unto Him void (Isa 55:11). Just “tell ‘em about Jesus”.

If you cannot obtain tracts, or you are a ‘shut in’, or can’t afford to purchase them yourself, contact us on this site and we will furnish you with good Bible tracts - free - no charge.  Be sure to leave give us your mailing address.  Let us all strive to be more “profitable” in the year to come.  Let us also pray for GOD to make us “soul winners” for the cause of Christ. None of us has a desire to see anyone leave this earth heading into ‘eternity’ without Christ.

Love the Lord, and love the ‘lost’.

Tell ‘em about Jesus.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is 'profitable' for doctrine, for reproof,

for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Tim 3:16).

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

1 Corinthians 15:20-22“But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”
