“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you:
(1 Thess 5:18).

Many times when we think about the will of God, we think about future ministry. In 1983, when God called me to preach, and move to an Indian reservation in South Dakota, I became so busy making plans for the future I would sometimes neglect some of the most important things in my daily life that are found in 1st Thessalonians 5:16-18. “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you:”

The most important things that God wants me to do morning, noon, and night is to:

1. Rejoice

2. Pray

3. Give thanks.

“In everything give thanks” says to me that whether I am on a High Mountain having great fellowship with God, or going through a deep, dark, valley with lots of pain, where nothing seems to make sense, I must always verbalize my thanks to God because He is good, and He is so good to me.

When we find ourselves complaining and being critical of others, we just need to repent and begin to start thanking God for the beauty of His creation, and for the blessings of good health and good friends, and especially for His grace and mercies and for the forgiveness of all our sins, and for the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I’m so thankful that when God saved me and changed me, He gave me a new life, a new song, a new forever family, and the promise of a new body, and a new home where I will live with my Lord forever and ever. Amen! (James 1:17,  Ps 103:1-5)

“Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good:
for his mercy endureth for ever” (Ps 106:1).

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

A special thanks to Daniel Gibson of Tennessee Valley Web Design for his involvement in promoting God's holy word and a safe stop on the internet.

Our Friend Daniel Gibson went home to be with the LORD on March 17, 2018

Without Danny the re-posting of this site would have been delayed for another year at least.  Glory to God for Him placing Dan in my path.
