Thankful and Truly Blessed

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
(Ps 100:4)
In my life I have had many more blessing than I deserve. So many that I could fill a book with them.
First and most important I am thankful for my Lord and Savior. He came down to this earth as a Lamb to give himself as a sacrifice for our sins: To bear the stripes for my iniquities and sins and to be crucified and spill his blood so that I could be covered by the blood covenant. Now because of His sacrifice I will spend eternity with him. "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed" (1 Pet 2:24)
- I am so thankful for all the many blessing in my life. I am thankful for the faith to believe, for longevity in years (I’m 80 years old).
- I am blessed and give thanks for my family, my wife, son and daughter:
- I am blessed, with Love and Forgiveness for others, Peace, Hope, Joy and His healing power.
- Everyday I pray for patience and slowly I’m blessed a little at a time.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells us to "pray without ceasing." I’m thankful I have been given the gift of prayer. At one time I was addicted to chew tobacco, I kneeled at the alter at our church and prayed To God to help me with this addiction: I have never used since. “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and he have committed, they shall be forgiven him.” (James 5:15)
Always pray and study the scripture and we will all someday meet in heaven.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12-13)

* I have personally known Bro Mayberry for over a dozen years and he truly is a man of God. As he taught in the classroom in a public arena, Bro Gene never backed away from telling his students about Jesus. He is a true soldier of the cross. We who know him have been blessed abundantly.
