Why was the Cross Needed?

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. (1Co 1:18)
As many were astonied at thee; His visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: (Isa 52:14)
There are several verses in the Bible that speak about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ but for a few minutes today, let’s focus on one very important the reason the cross was needed.
Ephesians 5:1-2“Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.”
