Sowing & Reaping

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.   

(Gal 6:7)

 Shimei, a prominent Benjamite from the Saul Clan cursed David while the King was on the run from David’s unruly and out of control son, Absalom (son of Maacah).   (2 Samuel 3:3)  Shimei’s life was spared when David ‘re-took’ his “rightful throne.”  When Solomon was anointed king, Shimei’s life was again spared until he disobeyed the king’s orders (1 Kings 2:44-46).  He was then executed.   Shimei had reaped what he had sown with the seeds of hatred, seditions, wrath, strife, and more.   Strike Three!  You’re out !!

This Bible verse (Gal 6:7) is still true with Believers, those who are called ‘Christians’.  Even though we are washed in the blood of the Lamb, and our sins have been removed (Ps 103:12) from us, we find that “what we have sown in our lives, we may reap.”   Friend, Come to Jesus early.  Lead those “little ones” to Christ at an early age.  The longer one waits to come to Christ (John 1:12), the more seeds he or she may sow.  And the more regrets they may have.  I thank God and trust in His great and wonderful mercy  (Ps 52:8).  Don’t you?

Let us plant the seeds of love, joy, peace, and gentleness for our remaining years (Gal 5:22-23) on this earth and we will see incredible results.  As a 'believer', if you are struggling you may want to pray this: “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me” (Ps 51:10)

with Jesus, you may pray this below:

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, 

and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him 

from the dead, thou shalt be saved."  (Rom 10:9)

No Teardrops in Heaven

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.    (Rev 7:17)

There is no tears in heaven, no sadness in my new home
What joy it is to see, my precious Jesus on His throne
The song that all are singing, I’ve never heard before
There’s no heartache, pain and suffering, here on God’s great golden shore

The smiles on all the faces, behold the joy that’s in their eyes
Tells me, that all have realized, they’ve won the greatest prize
There’s Bob, and Dad and Betty, so many loved ones that I knew
Even though the Bible told us, I can hardly believe it’s true

The joy that fills my heart this day, as I view my heavenly home
The street of gold I’m walking on, such beauty to behold
The air is sweet, the breeze is soft, God’s light shines all around
Ten thousand voices singing, I just can’t describe that sound

Our bodies built with splendor, so perfect in every way
As we gather round the throne of God, to worship Him each day
If I knew it would be this way, I would have come here as a child
But God had other plans, to preach His gospel for a while

If I could send a message, to my loved ones down below
I would send at least ten thousand, so all I knew would know
That it’s so marvelous here in heaven, with His glory all around
So pleasing to my sight and smell, and so pleasing to the sound

No teardrops can be shed, here in my heavenly home
How I love my perfect life now, around God’s golden throne
If you'd like to feel what I feel, and see the sights I see
Receive our Lord and Savior (John 1:12), you'll know that joy eternally
